Someone ready to write a new gaming version of The Blockheads song Reasons to be Cheerful?

In my experience, gaming has never had it so good!

spooky, I was just about to post about loving Amplitude in this thread. Its a mighty fine game 8)

Mixing songs online with other people is unlike anything else, with such a friendly vibe. Online co-op rhythm games are the future

The online battles are great fun too, with other player's mixes you never know exactly whats coming up.

I'm about 1/2 way through solo on insane right now, getting to grips with the really fast instrument patterns (currently on the David Bowie track). Its tough, but with the corridor layout you can always see another route through, a better way of playing the song. Finding that route and making it work is bliss.

Its all about the multiplier, comboing instruments together, and hitting the hard sequences at just the right time.

The visuals have taken a leap forward, developing a style of their own after Frequency, presentation and interface is tight.

Gr0ver - how are you doing with solo mode?

I have to say, bar the sad demise of the Dreamcast, the last couple of years gaming has been incredible. Its been a 3 year long gaming rush for me, and still climbing

If it needs saying, video games are great.

*cough* I have 'til the middle of September to play. 12 weeks, not 8.
I finished my exams yesterday too. 12 weeks of utter bliss awaits!

Seeing this thread made me smile. Thanks Mr Nips. I adore games? I love how they make me feel before I buy a new one and I love how the insane anticipation builds over something special. When I get a new game that pulls me in (such as Zelda, Metroid and RE) there is no going back. I love it. Evenings up late, days discussing them, nights dreaming about them? they really do have an impact on me? and I welcome that?

For a while I haven?t really felt that due to exams and such, but I have been playing SC2 on and off for the past couple of months or so and there have been some very memorable times? and for me, every moment with SC2 has been a pleasurable one. That?s over 60hours of pure gaming fun with one game! The smiles and laughs it has given me are priceless and I wouldn?t swap them for anything.

I have been trying to gather a bit of money the last couple of weeks so I can invest in some new games for this summer. VJ is a must and I cannot wait for that!

            Regards

Urgh, I've got to go to school now. But when I get back I'm going for Halo on a harder difficulty. Then I'm gonna get a few upgrades in Metriod and kick some ass in Zelda.

              It's all so good!

Amped, lovely Amped for me this week, so far.

I'm pretty rubbish at the game, still getting the hang of the moves, but I'm up to 96th now. There's just so much room for fun in the game, working out the best way to get down the mountains so that you string jumps and rails that you can manage together. Or just amiably messing around.

My main tip so far, though, is to just have chill music on the jukebox, it suits the relaxing gameplay far more than the thrashy guitars of the defaults.

Nice to read more positive gaming experiences. This is what gaming is all about IMO - having a brilliant time and sharing that with others I've only just woken up so I'm off to play a bit of Zelda OOT once I'm properly awake

Oh btw, I finished my exams on May 15th, and don't go back until the 26th September - that's a 17 week break

                          *wins*

Multiplay is the damn best thing ever.

I love playing games with my mates. It is so much fun. Even when one of them rules all.

I remember a couple of years ago, five of us would go around someones house every night to play Goldereye. Best time ever.

And now I can look forward to some great co-op play. After completing TS2 on normal, I'm going to try hard with my mate. It's gonna be fun!

I just picked up Games (TM) and read about 'Sword of Mana'. I never knew a sequal to Secret on Mana was comming to the GBA, and with multiplay... I can't wait.

I've just re-started Secret of Mana on my XBox and am determined to complete that before I play the sequal....

                              This is gonna be great!

Games are great but I only get enough time to dedicate 1 hour of play time a week at most. I have 10 outstanding GC games to finish and 3 or 4 I'd like to master plus 8 existing GC games I want to buy and 10+ coming out this year. Now that sucks.
