Playing on Xbox Live

(sorry if a tread has been posted before like this & if this is in the wrong section)

I Bought Pro Evo 5 yesterday after i heard that it is compatible with the 360 (as imo after playing fifas on the 360 - i still think pro evo is better

But the thing is - im not that good at playing it - so the pro evo games i have played online - have been lost apart from 1 draw - thats fine - evan get hammerd 5-1 by this other player (fair enough the player desverd to win)


So im playing a game last nite (winning 1-0 with 5minutes of computer time left)
really happy im about to get my first win

But then the person im playing qites the match early for no reason - and submites a bad player review about me - saying i qite games.

then i play another game (again im not playing good - but im still getting used to the game) but the person who im playing is shouting abuse though out the game - stupid remarks like he will foul me and call me a focking cheat, (now i dont mind some freindly swearing - but in the last few minutes of the game - he starts calling me s*it this & that haveing a go. (saying im so s*it, as i was arsenal and drew 0-0 - that in real life arsenal got to the champions League final.


Rant over - sorry if i have bored anyone - just wanted ti know if other people have had these problems?

You need to give as good as you get if you want to play with randoms - otherwise go and plunder the pro evo thread in here and add some gamertags to your friends list.

XboxLive advice - always play with friends first and when you play someone decent use the feedback option to make them a "preferred player" - should minimise the instances of you coming across pricks.

Unfortunately Evo5 is in its twilight term and there's not many people left playing it online - mainly just the tits.

If you want some friendly opposition I can hook you up with gamertags of some buddies who play it a lot - let me know !

You should try playing Halo, makes every other game seem friendly in comparison

I have to admit that sometimes, particularly after having a couple of drinks I may be abusive back, generally in regard to their mothers sexual prowess. Mostly though I tend to find the mute function found in most games a god send.

As yoshi said, check out the online section and add some people to your friends list. It's a shame that the bigger the service gets the more idiots there are.

Unlike Driving games! Thats rubbish tbh. Ive come across more arseholes in driving games than I have on Pro Evo, a lot more.

Its no big surprise, the worlds full of dickheads. Strangely all the ones Ive come across are Yanks and cockneys, go figure

I play SF on the Xbox and the amount of tools in that game is just sick! But at the same time I have met loads of top guys who I have some wicked matches with.

Starting out always looks bad as you're always playing randoms but the more you play the more people you will run into and get to know. You will find idiots and you will find good guys - you add the good guys to your friends list and you avoid the chaff.

Soon enough you'll have a posse so that you always have great games.

I would check the online section for Gamertags of people playing Pro Evo.

I had people from the US trying to annoy me while playing most wanted - saying english people are ba*tards etc

I play it all the time, so I'm a bit biased, but yeah, it's pretty good. Friendly crowd, ready to give advice and some tight racing.

i have read that you can customise a car for example - like put a porsche enigine in a ford - do you know if thats true?

When I said "crowd", that's probably an exageration. The number of people playing online is dwindling fast. Forza2 will be shown at E3, so you might want to hold off for a release data announcement. If it's very soon, then just get that. If it's a while off, then forza1 would be good place to get some practice in.

As for the tuning, you can only install engines made by the same manufacturer, so integra engine in a CRX for example.
