Just been looking at the game info and screenshot (this game looks lush, yes lush).

However something is confusing me, i thought Rare had the rights to this game, however theres no mention of Rare on anything i have seen and it looks like a direct port of the N64 version.

Anyway can't wait for this one

Theres also some new info.....

Rare ARE working on this together with Nintendo, its a sequal to the N64 game not a port and will have a create your own track mode, as well as 8 player single card multiplayer.

As far as I know it's Rare developing it just like they do for the DKC remakes. Looks good, doubt i'll buy it though despite loving it to bits on the n64.

Im not sure whos making it but no Rare dont have the rights.
They have rights to Banjo, Joanna Dark and conker but Donkey kong and diddy kong stayed with Nintendo.
Thats why there was Banjo pilot rather than diddy kong pilot.

Im hoping for online Wifi

It looks graphically the same as the N64 one which wasnt great IMO but it's not bad.

It'd take me alot of convincing it's not a port of the N64 one judging by the video.

It looked pretty familliar to me too, but I suppose there is only so much you can do with racing monkey`s and dinosaurs and ****. Still looks fantastic though and it`s defo on my list for wants.

I`ve not had chance to read up much on it but aswell as being able to play your mates, will it have online functionality ala MKDS?

I couldn't care less if they ported it straight over, it's one of my favourites and I think its gameplay is timeless.

I think they will allow RARE to work on DS stuff all the time they're not in the handheld market. So probably not for much longer I guess.

That is without a shadow of a doubt a port of the original. Not that i'm arsed it would be best if Rare didn't make a sequel anyway, they'd only f*ck it up.

I think Microsoft and Nintendo should be allowed to work together and share some materials together and keep it out of Sony hand.

So this mean Microsoft can allow Rare to develop games for both Wii and 360 and Nintendo to allow Donkey Kong to be used on 360.

It is Rare, and it's an "improved and expanded" version of the original. I thought that dinosaur from the video looked familiar..
