Thats true i can understand there very handy for people who have a lack of space

But i have had 2 ps2's that had troubles when it comes the front loaders

Does make me wonder about the people who are paid to design consoles.

Would imagine they could have given the job to just about anyone in this forum and they would have come up with a better design

There is this belief in marketing and design that parents are less willing to buy something for their children if it 'looks' out of their age range.

The Xbox 1 still has the greatest "phwooar huuuge" factor, due to that pot belly being visible from every possible angle.

The PS3 seems like its trying to come off all sleek and designer, but with that size it's about as subtle as clown shoes


You can fit 9 Wiis into the volume of a single PS3. Trufax!

Apparently the Wii in that isn't completely accurate, but it's still much smaller than the other ones.

yeah, Apple stuff is designed to the n'th degree. my G4 is a thing of beauty.

i'm all for making consoles look different and having character, but when it comes to The Crunch all they do is sit under a television out of sight. i still think Nintendo are the best - giving cases different colours is the simplest thing in the world, but it is so effective in changing the look of a machine (obviously, but you know what i mean).

the 360 looks like a squashed cardboard box, and the PS3 is something you would find in a Blue Peter competition in the under 10's cateragory- i can imagine the presentation, complete with arrows pointing at the various ports and holes describing what they do.

product design isn't my thing, but i think given enough time, money and monkeys, i'm pretty sure i could come up with something more appealing than the current PS3.
