        I was talking about the UMD as well. This release should provide more support for UMD releases as it provides (nearly) full 2.6 emulation.

          2.71 firmware is now emulated meaning you should be able to play any game that is currently out whilst making use of the latest features of the firmware. Probably a few bugs in the loader as before but very impressive.

                    A big day guys. the first true PSP custom firmware.



                    It's not complete yet, and given the risk of bricking your PSP, I'm gonna wait until the firmware is at a later stage. Still, it's brilliant progress.

                      I've installed it and it's fine however I think you can only do it once (to re-apply, run a version changer to set the version number to 1.0 and reapply 1.5 firmware).

                      I'm now running 1.0 homebrew files (no need for kxploit) and disabled to the sce bootup which in turn stops UMDS automatically starting when you switch the console on.
