        What? Scart or VGA?

        The question answers itself.

I think he probably does, but I've given him ample hints that he's typed the wrong thing in another thread.
Besides, Its a good chance for me to call him things like noobzor.

The differences between Component and VGA are minimal and almost entirely depend on what TV you have and what its native resolution is. Regarding the 360 I found Component to have stronger colours than VGA on my DLP TV but I've heard a few LCD owners prefer VGA.

I prefer component, vga looks too washed out.

Is that even after the update because I swear the colours have been fixed.

I'd probably still go for component but VGA looks far from washed out in my eyes.

I find it more noticeable in certain games. Kameo is a good one (it looks considerably more drab with vga), as is Oblivion on a nice sunny day.

The dashboard still looks "washed out" using VGA on my AE700 projector. Component looks much, much more vibrant.

Also the image is shifted even further to the left - although my projector can move it back to where to should be.

VGA FTW!! FAR better clarity of picture and it's not washed out. Component is far too colour saturated for my tastes. I've tried both extensively and i think component users will be missing out of a far sharper and more detailed picture.

If your display can handle VGA properly and offers some good control over it (like adjusting the display's gamma to get it set right) then VGA is by far the better connection in my opinion.

Most displays add processing, typically adding sharpness or edge enhancement to the component input, and I find things to be oversaturated via component. (turning down the colour doesn't seem to get it right)

Depends on the end user really. My set does not have sharpening controls over VGA-PC, which I use, but I find the overall superior balance between the colours and general picture quality to be superior over VGA.

Much of it can depend on yout TV's implementation of it, though.

I really can't stand component on Oblivion. VGA just looks so much more... right. Take the opening menu for example, or just panning the camera around outside on the mountain side.
