Xbox 360 Themes - what you got?

Seems that lately every thread has been done before so I apologies in advance if this is old hat.

Anyways, while I was messing around on the new and improved Xbox 360 Dashboard (You all heard about that right ) last night I decided to check out some Themes - also I could actually find them now too

Been using the default one (which pretty much rocks) but blindly bought a couple with mixed results and thought, as you can't check them out before purchase maybe peeps could post in here what they are like:

Dead Rising 4 - Pretty crap.
Just facial shots of some characters, hard to see text. Maybe this will be cool once I've actually played the game and know who these peeps are...

    Lost Planet - Pretty Cool!
Some nice shots from the game with the last two blade colours really suiting the ice world look, plus you get a BIG MECH. Let down by the first blade shot of the flying bugs, mainly due to that harsh red/yellow colour not suiting it at all. - Can you switch the blades around and change the colours at all?

So anybody bought any Themes they want to share? What do you think about the standard ones that come with the 360?

I was messing around with themes last night as well (what an updated dash will do to you i suppose ) and rather than go with the themes on offer I am looking to make a custom theme ... so has anyone got any links to pics which will/do look good as themes (ie not too overpowering, and fit nicely with the text/options)

    cheers

I'm using the Halo 3 theme and quite nice it is too, before that it was the Ghost Recon one.

Wish there was a method of previewing the theme before you actually purchase it though.

I haven't got any pics, but I guess any game related windows wallpaper would probably look good. A big Sony logo would be amusing. The only thing with custom themes is that you have the same picture on every blade.

I tend to change themes to whatever game I'm really into. So I had the Oblivion theme for ages and shortly after that the Tomb raider artwork theme. I currently have the Live gold theme I downloaded for E3.

BTW you can check out gamer pictures and themes before purchasing here

The condemned theme looks ace, although a little grim. I get a little peeved that you have to pay for themes, they can just be downloaded off tintinet for nowt. I know i don't have to purchase them, not being forced blah blah blah btw.

Having had some left over microsoft points floating around I downloaded the Bejeweled 2 theme (having had a sniper kitten for a while before that). It's a nice clean theme and the colours match the original. You can see it here.

I set my Guide Background using the free E3 gold theme.

I have Oblivion at the moment, which is quite nice but getting bored of it now.

I'm pretty pleased with this one, found it on Pixelgirlpresents:

May consider downloading the PA one, or maybe the Halo 3 one.

I've ended up buying far more themes than I really should have, as I've gone and bought one if I've had points left over from buying something. (and eventually gone and bought other content, had stuff left over, bought another etc)

I ended up buying both the bejeweled and hexic themes late one night, stupidly thinking that they were "themes" for the arcade games, rather than dashboard ones. Quite glad I ended up with the Bejeweled one, as I really like it.

I was disappointed with the condemned theme, as the blades at the side ruined the "file" effect they were going for. (if I remember correctly, it's been a while)

Was disappointed with the Quake IV one too - they got the colours for the blades mixed up

The Hexic one that I mentioned above is also pretty crap.

The Penny-Arcade one is alright, I don't like the blue / inverted band that ran across it though.

Quite liked the Rare Concept art one as well.

As for the guide blade, I like to use Pearl, Stone, or a custom colour. Right now I use Pantone Uncoated sRGB 5757. (R122, G126, B90)

It's a real shame you can't create your own dash theme using five pictures though.

I haven't really seen any of the "themed" themes (e.g. the Halo 3 one) that I've liked. I've got a custom one at the moment which is the standard dashboard trim and the glass dashboard background. I think that looks nice enough:

That Bejeweled one is quite nice.

I'm just using the standard one but with a tweaked blade trim (think it's the glass setting)
