No, polygon wise the GC cannot match the PS2; which the GC compensates in many games with bump-mapping. There hasn't been any games on the GC to suggest it can to the extent of games like GranTurismo or ZOE2.

On the other hand we all saw what happened (even given best endeavours and 12 months) when RE4 was converted from GC to PS2 didn't we ?
