What are you playing on your PS2?

Well we've got Xbox and GameCube ones, so why not?

I actually only have three PS2 games (Compared to 6 on Xbox and 11 on GameCube), but I'm currently trying desperately to complete GTA3, because I've told myself I'm not gonna buy Vice City until I've clocked it! Was playing ICO, but I got bored of it's repetitive nature, but I'm gonna try and go back to it tonight.

Found my old Vib Ribbon game under the bed and have been playing that a lot to various CD's. I need a sequel!

Eleven days have passed in Kaido Battle. I have cut my first deal with a car part sponsor and I managed to upgrade my Toyota Truneo to the max. Buying a 4WD ASP.

Others on high rotation is XII Stag and Shienryu.

Could you post some more impressions of Kaido Battle, Henning? I'm really interested in this game, but I just need a little more information and opinion...

Playing Contra and Virtua Fighter 4 Evo at the moment.

I can now manage to do the initial four levels without losing a life but then it quickly all goes wrong. I truly believe Contra to be one of the most underated PS2 games ever. Its so addictive and you get a little bit further with each and every go. Edges review which slated it for being unfair is so far off the mark its not even funny. Theres nothing at all unfair about it, its pure memory gaming at its best. Well recommended if you've not already given it a go.

I only started playing VF4E last night (waited for the PAL release) and i'm quite enjoying it. My game at the moment consists of half button bashing and half trying to perform the set button combos i've learned and usually getting punished for it. I'm definitely getting better as i can now beat everyone in the first arcade everytime without losing a round which is quite a step up from the kicking i got last night. I must admit to never having had the patience to stick with the VF games in the past but after reading posts from Saurian and Tokuda etc i've decided i'm definitely going to put the time in this time around.

hardly touched my PS2 at all this year.
in fact i think the only thing i bought was auto modellista and that was only because it was cheap and i wanted to test my flip top lid/boot disk.

really there has been so many gamecube and xbox games i bought this year i havent given PS2 much thought at all.

of course that will change with Initial D in a week (hopefully)

I'm looking forward to getting a GC but in the mean time my PS2 and DC are getting plenty of play. There are so many cheap games for both formats.

I've finished Shinobi and Ico (twice) in the past month. In between working on those two I was dabbling with Virtua Fighter 4, Frequency and Gitarooman which I've had for a while now but keep coming back to.

ive had a ps2 since launch and over 100 games but ive not touched the thing for over a month now. Its done all it can for me i think? All the new titles are just the same as the first generation ps2 ones but in new boxes with new names. Most people didnt have a ps2 then or ignored the games so they'll sell well but its just the same comming out again, i think developers have done as much as they want to with the console. Even the first party stuff is all sequels *ugh* and then with the games i have most of them lack the killer lastibility that the psone still has with me.

It really doesnt make you complelled to play, although as always there are some exceptions like eye-toy in the future.

                      Ridge Racer V - again

VF4 Evo - say no more

                      Guilty Gear X2 - play.com 2 for ?20 and loving it

Kingdom Hearts - taken me away from Zelda dare I say

And have bought Rez again from play because I have a new av system and want to hear it properly (was on the tv last time as my av kit was boxed away)

But they will all go on hold when Initial D arrives.

This week I bought Gungrave, Maximo and Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution. I haven't touched Gungrave yet. I started to play Maximo this morning and I think it's a pretty challenging game. I like that 8) Most of the time I play VF4evo. I've got a lot to learn, but I really look forward to learning al the moves and tactics.

I'm still getting stuck into Silent Hill 3 and Ico currently, although I've not played them in a few days, must rectify this turn of events.

Both excellent games, shame only one of them is actually new.

Simply put, this a Simulation-Street-Drift-Racing game.

The game includes very accurately modelled courses of famous mountains in Japan which are used for downhill racing. The famous mountains in 'Initial D' are included as well. Most notably, Akina (Haruna) and Nikko Irohazaka.

If you like realistic car physics and handling, it's here. If you like drifting, it's here. Once you get your car customised with new parts, you can slide your way around through the mountain passes like "Initial D". If you liked the battle system from "Tokyo Xtreme", it's here too.

                            Highly recommended.
