I absolutely adore the DC versions (1&2) - but the translation onto GBA is another disappointment from the Sega library (Gallery, Crazy Taxi, JSR, VT).

Whilst it retains all the levels from Part 1 (that I have seen so far), the animation of Ulala and the other characters is crap, the music grates and the backdrops are static renders.

It's not awful - just that I expect more from the GBA these days.

        No. It really is.

I've been playing Made in Wario and GTAdvance 3.
Well that's your opinion. All I can assume is that the reviewer was not very good at the game (although considering Outrun can be completed on your first go, I find this hard to believe).

I totally agree with the control of Super Hang on being ridiculous but the sprites are not too big at all (they are the same ratio as they are on a normal screen).

It's average at the very least but it's not a 3

Zelda LttP but I keep dying repeatadly and I am only on the second dungeon.

Advance Wars but I am not as addicted to it as I used to be.

Yoshi's Island. I am still trying to get through World 6.

Sonic Advance 2. Not brilliant but entertaining non the less. I hate Zone 6 though.

Advance Wars and Street Fighter 2 are the only games to grace my GBA for the last 5 months or so...

              GAH!
              BURN!!!!!

Did you ever PLAY Space Harrier?!
              It's atrocious!!!!!!
If you'd spent any decent amount of time on the arcade version,
you'd know how awful it is.
              Same with all the others.

A total mockery and disgrace IMO.
              3 Was very generous.
And yes, the reviewer is good at them.

I give Wario Ware the odd go.
I've got a car journey tomorrow.
I'm considering either GBA or reading a new Seth book!!!!!!
Probably going to be the book.
But I'll bring the gba in case it gets dark.

I still play Made in Wario. haven't bought any GBA games after its release. It's still very enjoyable to break my high-scores.

Well people tell me that the reviewer is a complete twat, but that doesn't excuse the fact that the game is entirely awful!

But they are far too big. Go play Outrun on Saturn/MAME now and notice where the corners you could take flat in that, you now slap the wall, or run wide off the track because the car is too big. The bit in the tunnel was awful. There just isn't any room to maneuver because the cars are now so big, you can barely fit your car between two split motors.

Just one of a whole multitude of problems that ****ty reviewers who have given this collection 7-ish out of 10 (NOM, IGN, etc) have given this because they have no idea about what it was that made the originals so great.

OOps silly me, I forgot that if you don't agree with NTSC's reviews you don't know anything about gaming. It's great to see the good old arrogance creeping back in guys, keep up the good work

Thing is though mate, drop in a childish comment like that and you set yourself up for an equally childish "are you even old enough to have played the originals in the arcade on release and therefore know wtf you're on about" retort.

re: GBA. Bomberman for me, pretty much the only thing that's ever in it. Perfect way to while away the minutes.

What the hell is that about? What people think of the guy should have no relevance at all.

When you say stuff like this it just smacks of sour grapes mate.

Like I said my biggest problem with all the games, (apart from Hangon) is that they are a piece of piss to complete) and frankly anyone who compares the arcade version of space harrier to a gba conversion that has had 3 other games stuck onto the same cart is frankly expecting too much.

                              .
That's not a childish comment at all, it's simple fact. As for not being old enough to play the originals, I think being 30 just about qualifies.

By all means praise your site, but when you come out with petty comments like Burai's, you simply undo all the hard work that NTSC represents.

Try to remember that just because you rate a game by a certain score, it doesn't mean that everyone else's is wrong. To suggest otherwise (as Burai does) is just plain arrogant.

Our writer felt that the sprites in the GBA conversion were far too big and as such impeded on the game, and justifiably mentioned this in the review. If you dont feel that way and are happy to play the games as they are on the GBA then fine thats your prerogative, but lets not get into an arguement over this ok.
