      Hi.

SPOnG supplies content to Blockbuster. They have a sample of our database because they like it, as do we. Have a dig about at the site. We have *tons* of old boxart stuff, much of which was scanned by us! :-)

If you can think of anything we are missing or have any sugestions, please do get in touch. We are trying to make a full, documented history of the games industry, a big old task! :-)

      Stefan

Video game reviews & info + over 50,000 games + 400,000 screens & cover art = the most complete catalog of games from retro to today

It wasn't always called Blockbuster, I'm sure they were around when the Master System and Speccy were popular (what were the other systems? ). I'm pretty sure they used to sell MS games, I'm sure I remember seeing them running there (in Wolverhampton, Walsall maybe Birmingham)

Anybody remember what they were called?

HappyFamilyGaiden's database got all the info though...

Not a single one of those links goes to a page which actually exists...

Maybe because the thread is nearly a year old?

                Why was this bumped?

Looks like the man from spong is trying to get people to visit the site. Look at his latest posts strange they all point to the spong.

I thought PeteJ's explanation was more on the money - there are Spong logos everywhere on the Blockbuster site. Despite owning gamestation, Blockbuster are currently keeping Gamestation a separate entity/brand.
There's a new BB on Oxford Rd in manchester that has a gamestation incorporated into the same store.

Oh, that was posted last year. Err.
