Zegapain XOR Demo (Xbox 360, JPN Marketplace)

Recently released on Xbox 360 marketplace, in Japan only. Use the workaround to download and install it.

It's incredibly colourful - Front end does look very pretty.

Everything's in Japanese so don't ask me what anything means.

You get a choice of three pilots, and two different mechs to fly.

Gameplay reminds me a LOT of Zone of the Enders - Infact, it's almost the same, which is no bad thing!

From what I can figure out, in the demo, you have to fly around and destroy everything. You can go close combat, or use long range attacks - You have a choice of three different special attacks you can use, called Blast Needle, Snake Bomb, and Armor Up. D-Pad is used to switch between them.

Graphics are incredibly colourful but nothing too wonderfully spectacular IMO. My opinion on this is likely to change.

More info when i've spent more than 5 minutes playing it.

    BASTARD

you weren't going to bed at all! you just wanted to beat me to this!!

    lol

i enjoyed the demo. wonderfully fast and over the top

i'm hoping the game will be region free or a PAL release confirmed as i'd quite like to know whats going on

i've had a couple of run throughs and can see that later levels will be totally frantic and awesome once you have got to grips with control and camera

      I WAS going to bed.

But this made me stay up.

I agree, just S-Ranked it and got used to the controls.

You can use RB to go into a 'Free Aim' mode and use RB to fire your gun with a manual aim, or press A and simply use a ZoE style target lockon for close combat and gunfire.

It basically IS Zone of the Enders, with a few bits and pieces changed around. Very fast, very frantic, very fun.

So the 'workaround' is to simply create a new gamer account with the location being in Japan? I might have to do this for Japan and the US in case there is other cool crap that I can access in both places. And people are just using address they find from anywhere?

You have to make a hotmail.co.jp account with a valid address, hang on.

Sweet, thanks. It's asking for an address now as well. I suppose I just make one up.

Edit : I just used the same chars as in the pics in the site you linked. Thanks again! Now to play Initial D psp while I wait for it to download. I wonder if there are any special demos worth getting on UK or US only accounts as well ...

I quite liked this. As a huge fan of ZoE, it was great to get to play a demo of this. Controls were a little weird to get used to but I got there in the end!

I doubt it will get a PAL release, bit of a shame really..

i found it a bit bland myself, its a pretty shameful unimpressive rippoff of zoe.

Sorry to use this topic to ask this, but is this region free?

Failing that, what about the Asian version (if one exists)?

Agreed, plus the controls were terribly laid out for the 360 pad

Didn't grab me much - was alright but nothing outstanding - much like most of the Japanese output to date
