same here only reason i set foot in the store, most of them at my local game dont even like games never mind them saying ' ive played this game its really good' even though i no you havnt. My gamestation on the other hand are real gamers and very helpful. If i plan on keeping anything they get my business 10/10

i can see the reason why there doing this, i think someone at head office has got in a bit of a panic about the price of the ps3, and with the playstation brand being there current cash cow there looking at long term ways to keep the sales High,

the british public borrowings and credit is absolutley throught he roof at the mo with finace and credit available on everything, so for game this seems like the perfect way to get consoles into people houses and make quite a bit more on them in the process.

As for tv's well this goes hand in hand with the credit scheme there doing, i can almost hear the sales pitch "dont worry sir now everyone can afford the wonders of hdtv and the power of ps3 248 montley payments at 30% intrest terms and conditons apply" homer simpson trying to buy a camper van springs to mind though

Yeah but lets face it, we here in the UK have had things pretty good as of late. Videogames (not all of them!), Electronics etc have been dropping in price & in my opinion in a very suspicious way.
I think theres a recession on the way & we're all going to have to tighten our belts, & buying stuff on Credit Cards/Finance isnt going to help.

Guess our manager is lucky a few of us share a proper interest in Games/AV rather than just as a part time job.

and i really dont think this is game clutching straws atall. Why not make use of some of the larger stores floor space? we do get an awful lot of people interested in HD displays and ask us which brand and where to buy.why shouldnt they take advantage of this ?

altho, if they put that **** gameware logo on it i will tell every customer the tv is wank.
some shops are too compact to have room to promote tv's and it does not help when the majority of game workers, are the occassional gamer and dont have much knowledge when it comes to games, i am sick of them trying to recommend the typical EA overhyped bull****. to retrain them to become experts in the hdtv field will take lots of time and money, both of which they dont have.
