well that's no good! you'll be too drunk and that'll be your excuse!

just got my 30 wins medal today, followed shortly by the 50 online matches. currently trying my hardest to do the lame 12 warriors one (i'm assuming you just need to be in a match, not necessarily win, yeah?)

Guys if you dont pick up a DOA stick a second option is to do what I did over the weekend, which is transplant the Dpad from the original Xbox Controller S into one of your 360 pads.

I did also sanded the Dpad recess a bit as suggested in an earlier link and whilst it isnt the best Dpad in the world it is significantly improved over the 360s original Dpad. It will do me for now as I need a wireless pad so that Hori one just wont cut it.

Loving this, tis bringing back so many good memories. Only playing SP atm, as I've lost my live after moving house, but tis great fun, relearning all the combo's of old, and how to beat each of the characters. Can clear the game to bison with losing a match each time on level three, but I'm yet to cane that guy without continuing, BASTARD ! Trying to get the completion without losing a match/round atm, as well as the perfect match achievement, hopefully get all three in the next couple of days. Level 7 is going to be fun to finish it on, can't believe how down hill my game has gone, used to clear it without losing a round everytime on SNES level 7

Now I'm used to it I'm not finding the D-Pad to bad. P1 side dragon punches and fireballs are a sinch, just struggling with the P2 side moves atm. My D-Pad is set slightly right on the pad though, so I'm not sure if that is making the left side of the pad unresponsive ??

Had a couple of games over live before losing my connection. Both seemed very slow and laggy, and I can't see me playing it online at all if it's like that. You take the timing out of SFII and it loses all of the fun for me. Nothing more satisfying than a last second dragon punch, but that's impossible with lag. Hopefully it was just a bad couple of games, and it will prove to be allot better when I get my new connection set up ! Is the game, when lag free, the same speed on live as the SP game ?

It can be but you need those golden connections ! Had a few laggy games, had a few not-so-laggy games, had a few that seemed lag free - But they were all fun Funny how it almost always seems to go to the wire and that slowdown on the killer blow - I can't believe it hasn't been used in other fighters - did Capcom patent it or something ?

i got the achievement for clocking it on level 7, but can't do the one without losing a continue.

my eagle eyes noticed it doesn't mention what difficulty you need to be at to get that one (or the one for not losing a round) so i just put it to level 1 which, funnily, seems a LOT more difficult than 7

on level 7 i can at least get to the bosses without losing a continue, and usually it's either vega or bison who beat me, but on level 1 i was losing to people like honda and zangief!

it could be cos i'd been online for ages, and my brain had become used to the timing needed when playing over the net with the lag and whatnot, but i was a bit annoyed.

compared to snes/md sf2t which i can clock on lvl 8 with my eyes shut, this is proving to be a bit tricky. i clock the rom on level 7 just fine but that's most likely cos of my saturn pad...

I must admit, when i were a young un I could complete this easily on the most difficult setting, yet i seem to be struggling with this even at 1 star. took way too many continues

I'm not impressed either. It looks crap in HD, there are no extras, no polish, they've done nothing to the low bit rate CPS audio which sounds nasty in dolby digital, when the lag is there its awful, its like a constant 50% framerate and it screws timing completely, the DOA stick is awful at QC's, everyone creates games to get on the left side...
I have to agree, with SFII's inherently letterbox screen format, I was hoping for a fresh representation, especially as it supposedly had HD support.

It's just a warmed over PS2 port by all accounts, it looks miserable with its ****ty vertical borders etc. Very poor.

yeah but it's like six quid or whatever.

it's even cheaper than the crazy frog games!

Looks as good as I remember, plays as well as I remember (atleast in arcade mode) don't get what people were expecting other than what we've got. Agreed it looks dire when you stretch the picture, so just don't do that.

Really can't complain for ?7, just the arcade mode is going to give me endless enjoyment.
