I was getting well into this at one point but stopped playing, might get back into it now!

So can someone tell me more about this game. Is it any good? I ask because I haven't really liked what I've seen of it at all. Looked like another Devil May Cry variant.

      Thanks.

I've played it briefly and it didn't really appeal to me. A mate of mine has the game and hates it, says it is very repetitive and boring. There are those who like it though, and it has a very arcadey feel to it.

Devil May Cry it ain't though...

Shinobi is all about style the problem is that most gamers didn't get it. Then again alot of gamers don't get Sega games. People thought it was just hack and slash but it wasn't. It was about style which is a huge leap from previous shinobi games.

It's great. Very unforgiving but that's the way with Shinobi series.

The game mechanics are really satisfying and polished. I just find the game so rewarding.

****ing hell those videos are crazy!

              Those vids were great
Havn't yet got round to playing/getting this game but I now will,
i can see from the vids that there would be lots of room for individuality while playing the game so another player could play in a different style and still get a S ranking.

The thing is, I didn't think those videos were stylish at all. Nothing to do with graphics, but I just didn't think it flowed at all, especially when seen next to Ninja Gaiden (again, nothing to do with graphics).

To me, style in this form of mechanic comes as smooth, fluid movement rather than occasional moody camera angles (though they were nice).

Having never played the game, my respect for what this player did is obviously going to be very low. He did make it all look easy and so skill must be there, but it wasn't impressive.

Which ninja gaiden and that wasn't the hardest difficulty. I thought it flowed pretty well.

It's just so cool how the tates are linked together. I never knew you could use the charge attack to leap across the level, miss and then dash/double jump away to next target.
