Incidentally I forgot to mention, one thing that really gets to me nowadays is how **** I have become at games.

I used to be really good, but now I find there are so many games that to "complete" you need to achieve this on that race, or get this many things on that level...etc. Burnout Revenge recently, a fine fun game but it's based on repeatedly playing the same level over and over to get a perfect...

Because my gaming habits have changed, I've become ****, and that really pisses me off.

Like Jebus from 2006 said, my gaming habits were eat, game, game, work, game, game, sleep/game. This was about 5 years ago. Nowadays, I spend sometime during the day pondering about what game I fancy playing tonight. Usually a ye olde playthrough of a game that was once a hip game. Once, I get home from work, I spend some quality time with my 3 children, bathe them, read them a story, then put them to bed. Then I eat, get stuff ready for the next day. Maybe a bit of TV/chats with the missus, do some internetting, then game. I usually last 15 - 20 mins before I get into heavy eye lids time and my character is running into enemy lines like a fully clothed streaker lol

I used to buy games as soon as they came out, but now I try to finish what I am playing. Ha, I'll never buy another game at this rate Parenthood rules though. I will wait until my sons start getting old enough to use a controller properly. Hopefully they will get into gaming.

Well i got broadband downloaded lots of digital stuff but do not play online partly due to the internet speeds not being good enough and partly because the whole skill gap is ridiculous (especially with fighting games) you get people who literally play the game at launch every day .

I used to like quick 20-30 mins of arcade style action in the past. Most games were arcade ports based or arcade ideals. Now however, that doesn't work. Games have got larger more story based and more complex. It takes a good 10 minutes to remember who you are what you were doing and what the buttons do. Plus the fact that everytime I seem to turn my console on I have to wait for 10 minutes for various patches and updates means that unless I can find at least an hour to game, its not going to happen.

Main change for me is the rarity of purchasing full-price games. Back in the N64/Dreamcast/PS1 days I did it quite a bit, but these days, I think the last full-price console game I bought was MAG.

Battlefield 3 and 4 ruined gaming for me. I'm now ready to move on.

                I rarely play anything now.

I have a quick dabble on the PS+ games when they hit the store and I'll play MK8 or SM3DW for 30 minutes every now and again but looking at my list of games coming out soon there's Splatoon, Yoshi Wooly World and...well...that's about it.

The games I was really looking forward to this year (Uncharted 4, Zelda and Quantum Break) have all been delayed.

Not massively, it's mostly just a time change. Now I'll spend 1-3 hours max most days gunning through the main game whereas I used to be able to spend all night doing much more side mission stuff. Overall though doesn't feel like a big change given how much naff padding is in modern games

We have just completed Kirby's Adventure on Co op and we often play scrolling beat em ups. My six year old is ace!

Cool, Martin. I daydream of this. My eldest has just turned 4. He's into iPad "games" at the moment. I will spring the true gaming soon though.

Kept mine well away from those sorts of games. Physical controls are harder to learn but more beneficial imo.

She is a Kirby master. We play boss rush mode and she knows all of the and track patterns and special moves. It's so impressive.
