Final Fantasy XII.

No company touches Square when it comes to characterisation in RPG's IMO. I love other RPG's, and Grandia still has the superior battle system, but Square ones still manage to keep me entertained in a way no other does.
That said, I am more interested in the charcterisation, world etc than lengthly strat RPG battles.
