I'm a little concerned that it's only 18 days until release and I've not got a component lead ordered from anywhere. I really don't want to use composite until either VG+ sell them or they're available at the UK launch. I want component on day one :/

import madness are still taking pre-orders stating 'Pre-Order will ship on release date 2006/11/20' but they have no mention of allocation anywhere, and have sent no information concerning their situation to me since i pre-ordered from them

The only problem with that is that that's not available until December the 2nd.

I talked to a guy on DVDBoxOffice on the chat they have on the page, and he said they where waiting for more information from Nintendo. Anyway, those people at the chat doesn't seem to know mutch at all about what's going on, but hopefully he'll give some more information.

But I would be suprised if they wouldn't deliver any consoles. They should be able to deliver plenty, especially since Nintendo has said that there will be plenty of consoles. And the guy at the chat still said their aim was to deliver all pre-orders within Christmas (at least for those ordering in september, I would think).

I ordered mine on DVDBoxOffice on september 21, so I'm probably a bit low on the list to get the first part of consoles, but damnit if I'm not getting one before Christmas.

Think I would have to see at other options ... if there are any.

Im all set for the Wii, got my Mums new fella picking me one up on Launch and they will bring it back over when she returns from America on December 2nd. Also the same day i return from India! Woot!!

Just emailed them to once and for all tell me 1) How many preorders have they taken 2) How far down the list am I and 3) How many Wii's were they allocated.

Doubt if I will get a straight answer.....all I've been getting for weeks is the standard 'we hope to fulfill all preorders on release'.

I actually spoke to that Chris from DVDBO the other day and he said they have an allocation which will cover roughly half the pre orders. They are expecting more stock by the end of November and plan to have all pre orders sorted by Xmas. He also said Nintendo are still being cautious with numbers and it could well be just a bit of hype creation.

Let's hope so. I don't mind waiting a week or 2 to be honest. If i'm truthfull, I really didn't think i'd be in the initial batch anyway.
