Is anybody apart from me playing this here?
It's a free to play online FPS that's been in open beta for a while, and I have to say - For a game that costs absolutely nothing to download and play, it's surprisingly good! I've even recently started playing it over the Battlefield games.
You have three different modes of play -
Mission Mode, which is your typical Counter-Strike style bomb mission on small-scale maps.
Infantry Combat, which is your small Battlefield style map where you have several spawn points around the map that you have to capture, and the first team who can get the opponent team's spawn points to zero, wins. On some maps you have small ground based vehicles.
Then there's Vehicle Combat, which is your large scale map with planes, tanks and the like. Same game rules as Infantry Combat but just on bigger maps and more vehicle orientated.
You also have 5 player classes -
Scout, which is basically your sniper,
Medic, no guesses for this one
Combatant, your standard infantry combat soldier,
Engineer, same as medic but repairs vehicles instead of healing teammates,
Heavy Weapons Unit, which is your anti-tank class.
Each class has their own 'base weaponry' which they can always equip, however you also have an in-game currency. Winning matches and going up in ranks will give you money boosts. These can be spent on renting out more advanced weapons (From 3 days use to 30 days).
It's not flawless as it's not long been in beta, so you're going to find a few bugs, but for what it is, it's absolutely superb and i'd recommend any battlefield or FPS fan give it a try.
