Definitely going to get Splinter Cell: Double Agent (LE), Rainbow Six: Vegas, Gears of War and PES6. Not sure about the Wii, might wait until next year and no chance for the PS3. Anyone know if there'll be a limited edition of Rainbow Six?

Interesting the numbers of people who are willing to splash out on the HD-DVD unit. Doesn't quite seem to fit the mantra of only wanting a games machine.

It's still a games console and I never use mine for anything else, but the HD DVD add-on is a cheap way to get into HD DVD, but just happens to connect to the 360.

Getting both PS3s at cost price and customs and me myself got US games and brother has a KPN collection so suits both needs now need a massive 1080p bravia but at uk prices will seem a long time

Call of Duty 3 and F.e.a.r are down for release on 10th November (as I predicted )

Joytech AV control center is finally released on 27th October (same day as fifa 07, pes 6, tiger woods and marvel)

I hate it when a new release comes along and I see 20 people on my friends list all online playing it together. I think I'm missing out and pay the ?50 admission fee.

No - the problem there was the live is ****ed and the twats STILL haven't fixed it - Volition are to blame and that's why it died online. It's great fun, If I quick-match I can have fun non-laggy games but matchmaking with a party just doesn't work just now.

Single Player I've had a lot of hours out this game and it's still a regular fixture in my drive.

I disagree with this "see what friends are playing I have to buy it" thing - I think on here we usually start a thread BEFORE the release, get a list of people who're going to buy it and we play together - that's a great thing there's nothing wrong with it.

And games are different - I hardly play TableTennis online anymore but I still have it and it does get played now & again - Same with FN03. Not all games are "play every night" ones (mostly the 2 player ones) but your Halo2's etc are pratically timeless - Christ I'm still playing it.

Likewise I can see COD3 putting Halo2 back to bed until Halo3 turns up.

I'll be interested to see how GoW fairs online.
