DS Lite GBA button layout question

Is there any way to configure the X and Y buttons on a DS Lite so you can use them as the L/R shoulder buttons on GBA games? I've got big hands to begin with and it's a bastard trying to play SF Alpha 3 with two dead buttons.

Annoyingly, no There's a few games I've wished I could do this actually, which is a shame really as I can't imagine it would have been a hard thing to include.
