Like do you get retired or dead when you should be circa 80 - 90??

I'm 50 seasons in my current game, i'm sure people mustve tried to see how far it goes even further??

Do you mean CM 01/02? If so, I think you're supposed to stop when it tells you to retire after 20 odd seasons.

Yeah this is 01/02, I cant remeber it telling me to retire, I mightve just clicked by it tho.

I got a feeling that it is deliberately ****ing me up now, or perhaps ive played this game so much ive lost sight of what im doing lol.

The CM2 versions, i.e upto 97/98 had a 25/30 year limit (can't remember which). CM3 versions, upto 01/02, had no limit, only what your PC could handle. However, the Xbox versions of 01/02 and 02/03 did have a limit imposed by Microsoft - but that could be avoided by retiring the day before the 25 year limit, letting the game process without a manager past that day, and rejoining again.
