    Check Out My Huge Log

It's that time again, how is your backlog going?

Work, kids, life etc forever getting in the way. Live service games sucking up all your time even if you are gaming meaning that you never get around to playing through those new releases or games you've been putting off forever.

Counter to that though you can suspend games instead of desperately trying to reach the next save point, play full games on the train, focus on shorter VR experiences!

How is your backlog looking on each of your formats and are you hopeful of making it through some of it, or adding to it?

I have bought lots of games, collecting mostly, not necessarily to play all (I probably need to get a grip). On the positive side I’ve returned to some games I’ve owned for years and never finished. A recent example being DK64; was on 70% or so from a decade + ago and recently 101%’d it! Thank goodness for guides or I wouldn’t know where to start.

If we were to properly calculate my back(side)log, then my post would easily get to its character limit that not even VBulletin knew existed. So, for now, in the here and now (Rich?), I have consolidated mine into several games I want to play through before I have properly died.

These games(off the top of my head) I have yet to start but want to before well, you know... like I said above. Before I do a die.

      Rise of the Ronin
      Stellar Blade
      Final Fantasy VII Rebirth
      Sand Land
      No Rest For The Wicked
      Forbidden West
      Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth
      Metroid Prime Remastered
      Cyberpunk
      Balder's Gate III
      Spider-Man 2
      Armored Core VI
      Dave The Diver
      Kingdom Come Deliverance
      Hogwarts Legacy

Later on I'll post mine as I can't even recall it off the top of my head - and it's not the full backlog, just what's installed and waiting to be played. It's multiple terabytes across platforms...

Maybe not too outrageous, I think. I've been careful recently and only get a new backlog in sales.

Bangai-O Spirits (DS) - yeah this is a very old one, been waiting a long while...
Loop Hero (Switch) - might not get round to this, it looks very grindy for what it is, with average playtime around 40 hours according to HLTB...
          Inscryption (Switch)
          Card Shark (Switch)
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth (PS5)
Cyberpunk + DLC 'Ultimate' Edition (PS5)
Helldivers 2 (PS5) - only got day before yesterday, and I'm already putting it off...

Far too many, it's obscene, but everybody knows a hobby is split into two parts: collecting and actually using what you've bought.

I'm trying to not stress out about it, but I've literally just started playing games I got with my PS4 seven years ago.

The subscription services have really widened the gap, in a way they're not bought backlog but there's always the spectre of them being removed from the service too so I rack them up.
