    Apprehension: Summer 2024

Half way through the year and this time we're looking at the opposite of Anticipating. There are many games released each month including some major titles but sometimes people hold off due to time, money, being unsure of the value of a game or other.

We're not looking at your backlog with this one, this is for the games that wish they were sitting on your hard drive waiting to be played.

Which are the biggest games released that you would consider buying but for some reason have yet to do so?
    And why?

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth because of how fast these games seem to devalue and by the time I get around to playing it, it will most likely be in the bargain bin.

The biggest games I've yet to pick up are:

-Like a Dragon 8: Infinite Wealth
I still have Ishin and 5 to do and even then I have to contend with not having done 7 or having much interest in the JRPG side of the franchise so this has been longballed quite far

      -Assassin's Creed: Mirage
It's on the list mostly because it's supposed to be like the old ones. Ubi games are incredibly bland and fall in price quick so there was no rush.

      -The Crew: Motorfest
Does actually look good but it wasn't essential and will probably hit a service or something super cheap down the line

      -Mortal Kombat 1
Always gotten around to MK games but this one looked so incredibly iterative of 11 that I held off

      -Dragon's Dogma II
One of the two biggest names on the list, I never got on with the original so I figured this was one where rather than shell out £60 I'd eventually retry the first on Deck

      -Rise of the Ronin
      Just, very low priority

      -Final Fantasy VII: Rebirth
I still have XVI to do and though I never normally do it I'm half tempted to go through Remake again first but this is probably the one I'm most at odds with. I loved Remake so this is more a question of how quickly it will drop lower than its current £52 price tag...

-STALKER: Legends of the Zone Trilogy
The recent console ports, the games are so old now but very well thought of that it's hard to figure out if the ship has sailed and it'll be a waste of the money or if it's still worth getting them

Already have plenty of games I've bought and not played, but am aware that I've still not grabbed Lies of P or Granblue Fantasy: Relink, and probably should at some point.

My backlog is too big and something called Shadow of the Erdtree is imminent ; I still need to finish what I can of Rebirth then finish off Horizon and then either RE4 or Cyberpunk plus Yakuza 6. All massive games. I reckon I will cave and get Dragons Dogma though

Apart from that I will definitely get Ronin, Mirage, Like a Dragon (all off the latest ones) at some stage. Almost pulled the trigger on AC Valhalla, Modern Warfare 2 and Jedi Survivor on sale.....lol my backlog will never get smaller
