    Marvel Vs Capcom Fighting Collection

    They said it couldn't happen...

... that to dream of such a thing was the feverish wish of a naive fool...

    ... but they were wrong.

GONNA TAKE YOU FOR A RI-IIIIDE

Capcom announced Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics as coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 (it’ll be playable on PlayStation 5 also), and PC via Steam, but Xbox was conspicuous by its absence, which means owners of Microsoft’s consoles (Xbox One and Xbox Series X and S) miss out.

The collection includes X-Men Children of the Atom, Marvel Super Heroes, X-Men vs. Street Fighter, Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter, Marvel vs. Capcom Clash of Super Heroes, Marvel vs. Capcom 2, and beat ‘em-up The Punisher.

Not gonna lie...I was pretty much on record as saying that I didn't think this would ever happen....still can't quite believe that Capcom managed to pull it off.

Nah, I was right there with you. With the behemoth Disney/Marvel has become, and the way the old collections were unlisted, it seemed very unlikely this was ever gonna happen.

Instant buy, definitely on Steam, maybe even a physical copy of that do one in console. Was just thinking the other day should I rig up my 360 to play the last time they did a collection.

Yep, this rules. Particularly impressed by how comprehensive this is, to have even got the Punisher on there!

Feels like after the S2 DLC for SF6 got announced, everyone was expecting a compilation of the Capcom/SNK games, making this even more of a surprise.

Some neat stuff in there too - proper practice modes with hitbox displays, rollback netcode, lobbies... good stuff. Will grab physicals for sure and maybe even a digital version for when I'm feeling too lazy to find the disc

Today is a good news day. To echo what others have said - I never thought these gems would see the light of day on today’s consoles. Can’t believe this is happening. Day one purchase for sure. A physical copy would be the cherry on the cake.

I'm not the biggest MVC player, but I'll be sure picking this up. I loved the first collection and this looks to continue the quality and care.

I used to love playing X men vs Street Fighter in the arcade we had it in our Uni bar in leeds, Akuma had a super so powerful it reset the cab it was a banned move after that point as it not only reset the cab but wiped out any credit you had in the machine will be picking this up for nostalgia purposes.

I know I am in the tiny minority but I much prefer the 2v2 format over 3v3. I know everyone loves MvC2 and maybe I have had the opportunity to rant get into it but it never seemed as good as the first hand or Marvel Superheroes vs Street Fighter.

Does this mean my PS2 copy of MvC2 has halved in value to £1.50?

You're definitely not in the minority as far as I'm concerned!

I have always considered X-Men vs. SF, MSH vs. SF and MvC: CoSH (despite being broken games in many ways) to be superior to MvC2 and MvC3/UMvC3 for that very reason.

The 3v3 tag beat-em-up mechanic is an absolute hot mess imo.

At the very least I will purchase just to support the FGC dreams and hope that in the future we can get a Capcom Vs SNK collection and a new Darkstalkers game etc.

I missed the whole Capcom v SNK period so would really love a collection versus games at the very least.

Heck I think I should get a copy of Tatsunoko while I am at it.
