Games that featured illogical tasks (and made you look like broken and stupid :D)

I posted this elsewhere, but figured that this might be worthy of its own thread....

Moonwalker on the Megadrive. I love it, but if I haven't played it in a long time I somehow forget that the last hostage on 1-3 is hidden behind a window which can only be opened by standing on the pool table. Up until this point all hostages had just been either out in open or behind doors. Happened to me again last night. Ow!

Discworld (PS1) - I'm sure anyone who never read a Discworld book had some run ins with this game.

    Me: Catch butterfly
    Eric Idle: "That doesn't work!"
(20 years later in real life) Eric Idle: "That (still) doesn't work!"
    A guide on the internet:

Go back in time and put a frog in the mouth of sleeping drunk... Now you can catch butterfly.

Which games made no sense to you whatsoever?

Zelda puzzles make no sense to me whatsoever, and the water temple can go die of anal rot.

Drove me bananas as a kid. I was too young to get it and it was so whacked out in places. I never finished it.

Some of the Lego games are ridiculous, but mainly because they're really fussy on where you stand and one button does loads of things.

Tip: use a character with an ice power.
Uses ice power - nothing happens.

              Shoots ice blast at P2.

Moves 1 pixel to the right
Result! You used an ice power!

                Fallout 3.

A major character sacrifices themselves in a radioactive chamber because if you step inside, you'll get irradiated and die.
So you have to let them die, but I was literally stood next to a radioactive-immune supermutant companion, who could have done the job with no issues.

You’re going to get a lot of PnC Adventures in here. How about having to barter for various prosthetic parts and then stretching the resultant prosthetic skin over a manhole cover so you can bounce to an upstairs window?

Also, can’t recall if this confounded, but it’s the GOAT.

was there a point and click game that had a puzzle that used a rubber chicken ? Lol

and a castlevania game that required crouching to the side in some random place for a while before a tornado took you somewhere else

I think that was Monkey Island. Thimbleweed Park, which I highly recommend, might also have had one. Not sure.

One of the Souls games had you climb into a nest, curl into a ball (so you'd look like an egg Iguess) and then wait until a bird carried you somewhere else.

Ha, yeah that and the one in Elden Ring where you're supposed to get in a coffin and go over a waterfall.
                              How about no?

I had a bit of trouble with Bioshock, if I'm honest.
