Doesn't affect my game purchases though; ignoring big fun over display issues? LOLZ.
If you can find me an LCD TV (even an expensive one) that doesn't leave the odd motion artefact on a fast 60fps interlaced video game, I'd like to see it!

Naw - my last two crts both supported 480p. Niehter were particularly expensive and both looked considerably better than my relatively costly plasma and lcd sets at this resolution.

I have my PS2 hooked up with the official scart cable and set to output component. The picture looks great on my TV, no bother with artifacts and much clearer than via RGB.

My TV is one of these: http://www.loewe-uk.com/xelos_a_32_de,30554,53.html

These TV's ain't cheap but it has handled everything I've thrown at it with ease.

It's a shame they wont release a VGA for it.
GOt a well good setup for it to be on my MOnitor if it took optical sound and vga on my WS monitor.

Scroll down to the progressive scan explanation in the middle.
