What's the situation with this? I have a Jap PS3 on the way, will I be able to pay and download the (equivalent of) marketplace content, or is that off limits for me as a dirty importer?

I think its off limits for us until the UK shop is launched. I have no proof or hard evidence but i think that is the case.
You need to use a US adress during sign up i think, in order to get access to the free downloads from the US shop, but i THINK you need a us credit card to order from the shop. -
I think the problem will be when the PS3 tries to confirm your credit card details and sees that your address for the credit card doesn't match the address you've given for your online account. Sort of like the iTunes shop.Comment

OK, so I wont be able to get the motorstorm demo?
When the UK shop launches, will a Jap machine be able to access it? Is it just an address that goes into the browser bar? If this is the case, I guess US and Jap machines will be able to see each others marketlpaces...?Comment
