So when are the NEXT big titles coming?

We keep getting told there's not going to be a drought, but with Mario appearing "when it's done" - which can mean anything up to a year - do you think there's going to be a drought (hate that word) of titles on the Wii?

What do Nintendo of America have planned after Wii Play in January and Mario Party (soon after?) - and when are we going to hear about it?

We all know what NoE are like. Time and time again they decimate the release schedules so they can squeeze activity at both ends of the year. I don't know what NoA will do, but I do hope it doesn't turn into an N64/GameCube situation. I'd expect however for there to be a lull a few months after the system's release - it happened on the 360 and it's going to happen to the PS3.

I'd start to worry after June of next year if there's still a drought.

In answer to your question, I can see Mario Galaxy being the big summer game.

Super Paper Mario should arrive sometime before the summer I think..? January according to Video Games Plus (who still have it listed as a Gamecube game) and PA.

well with every console there's a drought after launch as everyone making a game wants it at launch, not a month later. (they'll go for launch to maximize sales)

360 was like it.. I dont think a decent game came out after launch (Excluding DoA4 which was like a week later anyway) until Prey I believe.

probably have a slow time til March time and then see lots of 3rd party support I think.

Not that I know anything about anything, but it would seem to me that Nintendo would want SMG released before Paper Mario, if only for the fact that it would make it the first Mario game on the system...... I dunno if that makes sense, but if Paper Mario came out first, it might appear to casual buyers that this is the new direction for Wii Mario.

I'm after Trauma Centre, think that's out end of January. When does Warioware come out here?

Darn - I was expecting both Metroid and Mario soon after Christmas (and secretly hoping for Pilot Wings and Star Fox for the summer)

Think there was a interview with Regi recently stating that Mario Party 8 will be out in March, with Metriod 3 coming fairly soon afterwards - Mario is like between March and Xmas, my guess will be if it misses the May slot it will come out end of september/early october. I suppose the end of year game for me is Animal Crossing that I hope gets a world wide release at xmas rather then just a japanese one.

I hope Trama Center comes out here in January, wouldnt mind picking that up along with Wario Ware. As for Paper Mario.... your guess is as good as mine, since its now a Wii game I would assume Ninty want to prove the wii-remote works ace for RPG's to get some 3rd parties on board. As for SSMB, thats going to be xmas game, just a gut feeling.

My hope is the new Dragon Quest game actually is very deep and does get a EU port, but hey - theres a ton of Gamecube games I never picked up whic can now be bought for under ?20 which I plan to pick up during the long drought period.

I thought Super Paper Mario was a platformer, not an RPG?

Dragon Quest 8 sold well in the UK.

Plust since Nintendo are publishing all Square Enix Games (IE: FFCC) I can see DQ coming over.

It's an RPG platformer plays like a platformer but has RPG elements. I'm looking forward to this more than Mario Galaxy; I'm afraid of Galaxy being like Sunshine

Does it matter if there's a drought for a few months after xmas? Surely you can't have got everything possible out of the launch games by then? You don't have to buy them all at once.

It looks like Nintendo is once again hiding something. Here is what Reggie said to MTV yesterday:

Fils-Aime confirmed that Wiis connected to the Internet will automatically download surprise bonus material from Nintendo, but he wouldn't detail what kind of unexpected messages or channels might pop up. "I'd hate to ruin the surprise. Is there activity that we're working on for before the holidays? The answer is yes."

Fils-Aime said he'll be doing some lobbying in Japan come January. Around that time, he also expected a "plethora" of Wii announcements. But 40 minutes into his interview, he was clearly done revealing company details.
