I will put Condemned in there for me a great and tense experience, scary with good enough story and a good pace, visuals were verty slick too and sound shat me right up at times on this is certainly up there with the best of them of the genre.
Will never forget when I went to swipe a guy and he dodged it then proceeded to mock attack me, he takes a step forward swings, I go into a block, he stops mid swing when I unblock he wallops me.
    Also the mannequins
Sounds weird but this was one of the first games on 360 i played where i thought, wow this is what next gen looks and feels like then.
A lot been said which i agree on though.

Gears of war, gears of war, gears of war and gears of war. Its really blown me away in every respect. I loved the gameplay, the visuals were constantly jaw dropping and the audio was terrific. Its the first game thats really made me think: yes this is what I bought a 360 and hdtv for. More please

The first time I stepped outside in Oblivion I was amazed. And the gameplay had me hooked for ages.

And another vote for the embassy bit in Graw. I was really impressed by that.

I agree with many of the moments already stated.

Kameo - there's a room near the start (in the palace) with thousands of particles in the air, and it looked absolutely tremendous in HD. While the game was nothing special, some of the visuals were gorgeous.

GRAW - the first flight in the chopper. The embassy. Nuff said. I think next gen started when the embassy exploded.

Fight Night 3 - though the animation is a touch stilted, this still has the capacity to amaze me - the visuals are at times, stunning. Shame there isn't more actual game in there EA.

Burnout Revenge - Take the greatest racer of all time, buff it with HD and stick on an overhead projector. Then race standing up. The only time me and my mates felt the presence of God in the room with us as we gamed. Eye porn. Goes to show a little HD can go a long way, sharpening and tightening the visuals of a last gen title to beautiful effect.

PGR3 - crossing the steel frameworked bridge in New York.

Test Drive Unlimited - the first 5 minutes when you left your garage for the very first time. Unlimited potential.

Just Cause - the skydive. The island. The warm feeling in your loins. Took about 10 minutes for the actual gameplay to destroy all the warm feelings though!

Oblivion - the sewer reveal. The HDR lighting. Seeing the tower in the city from up a hill, miles away.

Condemned - repeatedly smacking a drug crazed tramp into a bloody pulp with a 4 by 2. In HD.

Geometry Wars - how even the most simplistic thing can look so, so much better in eye burningly bright HD.

Gears of War - all of it! But especially the roadie run.

The character creation and facial mapping in Rainbow 6 has its problems but hiding behind a car shooting at people...and as bald and freaky as I look ...ITS ME ducked down there looking left to right.

The detail of design on one of the Gears Locust characters you can play as online hits me every single time. Also the first time I went for a walk (which soon became a panicked shuffle along on my belly) in GRAW I was stunned by how realistic it looked.

When I first stepped out on to the landing platform in the opening level of Perfect Dark Zero and that rocket is just loomin above you as all hell breaks loose around you. I was amazed at how massive and solid it all looked. Amazing moment.

PGR3 really totally blew me away, excellent graphics, excellent online play, great sound, it plays fantastic, it has an truly outstanding inside view .... this was for me truly next gen, this was something to show off to my friends that were still playing with their xbox and PS2....
and now a year later PGR3 still is a beatiful game ! roll on Forza2 !!

Hmmm.... only the presentation and overall workings of the Xbox 360 gave me the horn. How it's possible to download stuff in the background, listen to tunes, stick and disc in and play seamlessly is really nice. Maybe not next-gen stuff (teh chipped Xbox isn't that far behind) but MS got it spot on with the 360, really listened to what gamers wanted and took the cool ideas from the Xbox and made them practical, easy to use.

I lose myself in a bit of PGR3 (in-car view, pish!) now and then but nothing else has grabbed me as truly next-gen gameplay so far. It's all been done before!

I should also add playing the Lost Planet demo for the 1st time was a true Next Gen moment , more so when that massive creature poped out from Underneath the snow, it was like something out of Starship Troopers (God I love that film) and the explosions are ****ing massive.

Also the HALO E3 Trailer was a jaw dropping moment too, more so when it zoomed out and the music score kicked in, I?ve watched that video countless times and it never fails to make the hairs on my back stand on end

PGR3, Gears of war and Resistance, all stand out this year and are head and shoulders above the rest as does the picture and sound of a ?120.00 high def xbox dvd player, stunning year so far but how expensive

Not joined the next-gen party yet, am going to get my 360 next summertime but for me on the outside looking in the big buzz has been Gears and I've read with relish people's salivations on it and other good games.

Having said that I've also noticed the amount of bugs and therefore patches, updates etc required for many games which is a bit concerning.

Even Gears has had it's problems I beleive which prompts me to ask myself, are these games not tested properly.

Still, hasn't put me off buying one.

Gears of War. PGR3. Oblivion. Amped 3.

They all spring to mind as being some of the reasons I'm loving my 360. Its also been the year I've played less PC games than ever, as I think the 360 has now replaced it for me.
