Can someone whos downloaded stuff from the UK VC tell me if you can put ithe games onto an SD card as I just read in the WiiShop Help that they can only be saved to the internal memory.

PAL VC games will be 50hz, bordered, and slow it seems.

Seriously, most European gamers don't even care about this, as they never played titles with their original speed. Only people who are complaining about this are importers, who are* very tiny, practically unimportant minority of European gamers. Believe me, there would be more complaining if games were running faster than 99 percent of European's remember. If slower speed is big issue for you, you simply import your console, and be happy.

                  * though they often believe otherwise

Of course they do, always have always will.

There are two sides to Nintendo. The good side everyone loves - Nintendo US and JP, and the useless side that screws over it's customers - Nintendo EU/AU.

The golden rule of gaming is to import Nintendo goods no matter what.

The Virtual Console was a big draw for me, now I'm going to have to flog my PAL pre-order and wait for US ones to become more widely available. What a crock of ****e!

TBH though just looking at the DS release list for Europe is enough to set the import alarm bells ringing. Star Fox Command came out in August, but not here until the new year. Contact was November, but it's not here until spring. Elite Beat Agents not here yet... I could go on and on. If that's any indication of the Wii schedule then sod it, I'm importing.

I know that someone is going to pull pea in his nose for this, but I couldn't ****ing care less.

I don't really know how badly NoE screws everybody over. You can argue about later release dates, but games need to be localized. Those who live in UK seem to often have delusions that there isn't any other important market areas* in Europe than UK and that everybody here speaks english. Only those who haven't ever translated anything believe that it is easy and fast thing to do. And of course, there is difference between translation and quality translation.

You can naturally argue many 3rd party games don't even come to Europe, but how in the hell that is NOE's fault? I mean 3rd parties decide all by themselves that will their bring their games to Europe and how they do the localization. NoE really doesn't have anything to say about it, and trying to force issue on 3rd parties would probably only make it worse.

Of course you can argue about 50hz/60hz modes, but none of the Gamecube games that NoE published didn't have 60hz mode. Heck, they even published every US Nintendo GC game except for Baten Kaitos Origins. And once again, NoE can't force 3rd parties to support 60 hz mode without NoJ's direct blessing. And what comes to progressive scan, that decision either wasn't made by NoE. Seriously, hardware decisions like this are made in directorate, not in one of your branch office's.

Nintendo of Kangarooland, in the other hand... well, it's better than we don't discuss more about them.

                        * Ironically when combined Germany and France are way bigger market than UK for Nintendo.
