More 60 Hz and progressive scan information from normal and Virtual Console games is needed. Just copy this list and make your additions:

    60 Hz:
    Wii Sport
    Wii Play
    Zelda: Twilights Princess
    VC: Super Star Soldier
    Super Monkey Ball

    Only 50 Hz:
    Call of Duty 3
VC: Mario 64 (but only with tiny black borders)

Does anybody know if Bomberman '93 is in 60 hz? At the moment its without a doubt the best multiplayer on the Virtual Console, and I really hope it supports 60 hz..

Can't see why it wouldn't be - all the other PCE games are.

PCE games are 60hz only AFAIK as they were never released in PAL regions.

Can you guys give your opinion on the way this has been explained? Also is the image in the right-hand side clear enough?

I have my Wii set to 60hz but F-Zero (supposedly 50hz not optimised) Super Mario 64 (supposedly 50hz optimised) and Victory Run (supposedly 60hz) all have borders that are the same size (or pretty close if different sizes).

                  It's confusing me

The VC can't run PAL games in 60hz (yet) but the TurboGrafx games were never ported to PAL so they MUST be run as 60hz. It makes no difference what your Wii is set to.

That's what I thought, but the fact is they (well only Victory Run so far) run bordered for me to the same extent as F-Zero and Mario 64

Would there be any interest in having a forum time trial thread for VC F-Zero?

Did you figure this out at all? I'd be interested to know the reason ...

even if they tweek the speed of mario, itll still be 25fps instead of the ntsc versions 30. same goes for any game thats 30fps on the ntsc version

50hz vs 60 shouldnt be much different if the speed is tweaked but for things like sonic i guess it wasnt.

ive so used to pal sonic that when i got the VC version on the US wii it the music seemed too fast. i guess it was meant to be like that all along

Does anyone know how good/bad was the Super Smash Bros. PAL version on the N64? I was looking forward to getting it on the Virtual Console but since we're stuck with 50hz I'm a little afraid...

Who gives a **** about languages? If we're in the UK we speak English and therefore should just be allowed to have the US version of the ROM. It's not like they have to outlay money on packaging or anything is it? For ****'s sake Nintendo, you idiots. The stupid thing is that they could get Super Mario RPG out there to all PAL/English territories if they just forced 60Hz, but I bet Europe and Australia will miss out coz of this high level ****wittedry.
