    Working during midnight launch!

At work, (if you call work watching some really bad ninja dvd) waiting for midnight so we can start selling Wii's, just wondering if anyone else is doing the same?! We have drinks and crisps set up for customers and also have set up a lil competition via Wii Sports for them....aren't wii nice!

P.S - We are in Wembley, so if I do get shot during this midnight launch.....none of you guys are having my Wii.....

We were just informed that we are literally getting a delivery of 20 more Wii's for normal sale via our area manager who is coming down to our store, so if you are in Wembley....pop down!

Yeah if you believe that, you will believe anything! hehehehe!

WOOO I survived the midnight launch, success....oh and the Wii's sold well too! Made just under 2 grand, still 4 people didn't pick theirs up though, legally though we have to hold em for 72 hours until we can sell em normally, bit of a bugger though as there are people out there who would pay good money for em now!

P.S - We had a great incident at the launch, the first guy went to pay by card and it got declined and he looked like he was gonna cry, actually pretty sure he did shed a tear. I told him I would hold it for him cos I felt sorry and he came back in 10 mins with cold hard cash! Was a great bit of drama though!

That latter incident happened to me at Toys R Us with the 360. So embarrasing, I prayed my card would go through this morning.

If you came down to Gamestation Birmingham, it was a ****ing great night. Kudo's to the Nintendo models serving pizza and drinks and I had a great time in the front of the shop window playing the Wii.

Plus, all the staff were buzzing and everyone seemed so friendly

lol yeah the company puts all their efforts into the Birmingham branch just cos it is so big and it also helps that their sales do so well.

Yeah, the PR rep for Gamestation and various other head honcho's were there, having travelled from across the country, got chatting with many.

The final people to purchase Wii were infact me and the women who was PR rep, as we swung her to buy the console, cause she wasn't sure

we (Gamestation) took about 15 grand, was a pleasant, quick affair, due to late night shopping, it was a VERY long day, but fun nontheless
