Does the PAL wii support progressive scan on PAL gamecube games?

Thinking of getting hold of a few GC games - res evil 4, ikaruga etc - but won't bother if they are slow and ****ey

No.The Wii will not play Gamecube in 480p.It defers to either 576i for 50Hz games or 480i for 60 Hz games.

Its in the manual at the bottom of page 39.

And as far as I know no pal games were prog scan.I heard rumour that Rocky was but maybe somebody else can confirm this.

So it looks as if Im keeping my Cube hooked up via component after all in my set up to play prog scan games
