    Once you have registered your Online ID, you will need to activate it by using it at least once from your PS3 before 31 March 2008, otherwise it may be withdrawn.
    At least we know we'll be getting the PS3 before then!

    What happens if we cave in and import one before March 2007 when they are "out" in Europe? Will we still be able to use that ID on the import consoles?

              just tried to login with my UK handle got a message stating you cannot login until the PS3 out in your region or something like that

                  No surprise Mayhem was already taken, so secured Mayhem64 instead (which is the name I registered for the 360, whenever time I get around to buying one!).

                    Cheers. I'll wait then because I'm on about getting a US console next year. I'd rather be able to play US BR movies and US PS2 games, I don't want to register a name that I can't use and lose it.

                      So i just registered nickpavey,but getting my US PS3 on Sunday.

                      Does this mean i cant log onto the US servers as nickpavey?

                          Because it's been delayed in Europe I think it's mint that Sony are letting us do this! It sure is the next best thing to owning the system!

                            on my PS3. I signed up a UK account on the site tried to login on my PS3 with that and got the message above i assume u will be able to login on UK release
