Red Steel when not through composite looks like something that couldnt really be done on the original xbox in my opinion.

Far Cry does look terrible, but has there been a single good Far Cry console game? I mean ffs, pc game that looked nice 3years ago, had standard gameplay, how is this still getting ported.

I'm no fan of the PD Zero art style, but it's technically on a completely different level to Red Steel. Red Steel is pretty much PS2 level tech, but with higher res textures. It's quite some way off Xbox 1 level.

        Seriously?

You never played a Splinter Cell game? Or Sands of Time? Or GRAW? Or Rainbow Six Vegas?

Ubi are an excellent developer by and large, they've just tried to make a quick buck on Wii by releasing a ton of hopeless ports.

Just viewed some (recent) video on GameTrailers.com and it actually seems to run at good framerate.

Granted the graphics are low on detail and for some reason there are no shadows that I can see, but it all looks pretty playable (I'm not going to buy it though).

Going to read IGN's review now.

Yep, seriously. I'm not really into gun/stealth games outside of PD64 or PC QuakeI/II/III. Rocky Legends has an ok vs. mode when you're too drunk to play SF/VF and GRAW was nice online for a week or so. That's about it.

I have to agree with some of the Far Cry negativity. It's probably the most wooden game I've ever played, why it still sells across the formats is anyone's guess. I reckon it's because it has guns. Even **** gun games sell.
