Is the version of Final Fantasy VII from the European store running in 50Hz or will it be the same as the NTSC version?

              Comment

The PAL version has at least black borders (top/bottom). No idea about the amount of Hz and if the NTSC version has borders or not.

                Comment

Just got FFVII and remembered that my 2 gig Sony card is a fake. Predictably the PSP download failed with a corrupted data error. Scouring net for a big sandisk card now :-(

No, the US version does not have borders. I bought it earlier today, using entropay.

(this being the first original playstation title I've purchased on PSN, and if this is a known problem, could someone direct me to the solution)

I'm not gettng any audio at all when I'm playing this (through HDMI) ???

Hmmm Mine downloaded the game alright, and then said 'installing'. When I came back though it had two corupt data files on the memory card.

I bought my stick from Play so i'm assuming its genuine.

Call up info on the card. If magic gate says "Unknown" then it's a fake. As it happens I downloaded again through the PC and it installed fine. If you bought a Pro Duo card at a price that was too good to be true it's probably a fake and you will have trouble with it sooner or later. Amazon resellers and anyone selling cheap on eBay will likely be fakes.

I guess I'll be buying the US version then. Thanks for the reply.

Just tried it and it came up as 'Supported'. It was a decent deal on the card, but it was through play themselves and not a 3rd party.

It could be anything to be honest. I wasn't watching it, I just checked on it a couple of times.

I will try again tonight. Unfortunatley I can't use the PC software as it requires 5.50 firmware and i'm using custom which only goes up to 5.00

Cool. I'm gonna grab a new one anyway and copy it over. Last thing I want is getting halfway thru VII and having it crap out on me!
