Sonic the Hedgehog Sprite History

I don't know if anyone remembers it, but I once did a Mario Sprite History that was well received.

I've completed a new one:

Sonic Sprite History.

It was a rather significant effort, dredging up those awful old Master System games was a Herculean trial.

You have inverted the sprite (or the sprite description) of Sonic Chaos and Sonic Triple Trouble.

That was an entertaining trip down memory lane. Much appreciated Sonic didn't change in sprites nearly as much as I seem to remember him doing. I could have sworn he'd put on weight in Sonic 3. It's nothing compared to the dumpy Sonic Spinball sprite, though! That thing ain't right.

I also very much enjoyed the Mario & Castlevania articles, too.

I'm loving the Castlevania page. All those sprites bring back so many good memories.

When it comes to Sonic, I like the original MD sprite the most. Mario in SMW is my favourite.
