How do you play VC releases?

Just wondering how other peeps play their VC releases - do you use the classic controller, the remote, a gc controller or the hori gc pad?

or even a combination of them all

Classic Controller myself. Even though the controller itself is a big disappoinment, the D-Pad is far better than the Wavebird one.

I've only picked up Castlevania at the moment (Though I intend on picking up Ristar, Gradius and Contra III when I'm done with it), but I use the classic controller.

To be honest with you, given the location of the sticks and the shoulder buttons I doubt I'll be using the classic controller for N64 games, more likely I'll switch to the GC controller for that.

So far i have only downloaded R-Type and F zero, The wiimote is fantastic for R-Type reminds of the master system controler except you can use the b button to do a rapid fire. I tried to play F zero using my wavebird and it was awful so im off that till i get a classic controler.

For N64 games I use the GC controller, anything else I use the classic. It's all a bit fiddly getting them set up though.

I currently using the Classic Controller for the N64, SNES and Megadrive games.

The wiimote is used for NES games. I would also use the wiimote for PCE titles but I play those on the original hardware.

i'm really only interested in the snes games and i use the hori pad

might get dkc, but hear the gc button layout isn't so compatible with it..

PS2 pads will work on VC games with a GC -> PS2 adaptor, if you're that way inclined, too

My PS2 Saturn pad or HRAP didn't want to know, though

I really wish they had just made another wavebird (in white to match the console) or just used the current one.

The analouge sticks are all ps2 on the classic controller which sucks and the ZL and ZR are in horrible places.

Ps2 pads on VC games doesnt sound too good lol it has a crap dpad and same analouge stick positions although comfier to hold and better reach for shoulder buttons.

This might be of interest/use to anyone with the original NES/SNES controllers.

I use a combination of the Wii remote, Classic Controller or Wavebird. Depends what's compatible and what is nearest to my lazy self

Ping, a white wavebird (or close enough)
