Each to their own obivsouly... some may look at this list and think "WOW WAA WOO WEE YAA SEXY TIME!!".
But others might look at it and think "NAUGHTY NAUGHTY!!"
I look at it and think.. Blimey only 1 game and thats just about it if lucky that interests me.
Here is the list-
Wii Play with Wii Remote (developed specifically for Wii)
Disney's Meet the Robinsons (also coming to PS2)
Bust-A-Move Bash (developed specifically for Wii)
Prince of Persia: Rival Swords (port of Two Thrones-PSP)
TMNT (coming to every system known to man)
Bionicle Heroes (port of GC version)
Blazing Angels Squadrons of WWII (port of XB version)
Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 (port of last-gen (PS2, XB) version)
SSX Blur (developed specifically for Wii)
The Godfather: Blackhand Edition (port of last-gen (PS2, XB) version)
Medal of Honor: Vanguard (also coming to PS2)
Sonic and the Secret Rings (developed specifically for Wii)
Half of them are ports which we could easily buy for half the price and get the same graphics interface... maybe more resdesign on controls obivsouly on Wii.
Sonic the secret rings will maybe be a buy for me, Medal Of Honor I more than likely skip but depends on reviews.
Prince of persia was a must have for me till I just saw the first ingame clips and instantly thought "ps2 with a twist". Obivsouly the graphics will never be greater than xbox or ps2 on wii and I never wanted one for graphics but even from the video the control scheme seems pretty basic and mundane on the wii remote.
SSX blur seems fun but I tend to get bored of any type of racing/stunt games after playing many SSX and Tony Hawks through the years.
One game that is coming April (So we hope) is one that I A)Never knew was coming. B)Never expected to be much more than a money grabbing rush job and C)Never have the excitement of online play (touch wood).
And that my friends is Mortal Kombat Armegeddon.
I just saw the wii mote video with the developer talking.. and from what I saw this has just jumped to the top of my "MUST HAVE" list and knocked down Mario, Metroid, Battleion right down!.
Firstly I've been a great fan of the first MK's ala MK 1, 2, 3 and ultimate edition. Other than that I always toguht the 3D versions and story versions were never true MK and fun to play.... Never gave them a try tbh.
But with the old school MK I used to have hours upon hours taking turns with friends "WINNER STAYS ON" with fights lasting mere seconds and finishing moves coming out of hats left right and center! With OHHHS! and AHHS! and screams of talking smack on top always made MK series fun to have!.
Now from viewing the video -
(I think is correct link).
This Wii MK looks the first to really use the wii mote for fun and gameplay wise. Firstly it shows you can pull all the moves off at a flick of wrist. What does this mean? This means constant fast paced, reversal, combo hitting action.
With a Scorpion spear here and a Sub Zero freeze there, from these fast and simple controls of pulling the "Must Have" moves off with ease will allow anyone to jump on and to have some of the best looking battles ever!
THe graphics also look great, from the video I could probley say they seems bit better than what Xbox could handle.
On top of this is the custom finishing moves with a flick here and a flick there!
With rumors of having online play will this MK be the MK of all? WIll this be the game that wii needs for us adult, gaming geeks? Is this the game where we start running ladders/tourneys of whos the "BEST OF THE BEST" mk player?
I sure hope so!
What stuns me is the developer goes on to explain you can even use the Classic COntroller for old school play style.. Now after showing us this new revoluition of Wii Mote play and how fast paced and easy it is to have some top notch action fights with everyone pulling specials why on hell would we want to take a step back to 1998 and use a classic controller?
Roll on MK! I really can't wait and I'm straight back on the Wii Buzz to start writing articles again after I retired on 360 at www.ascully.com
