A rather pointless topic this, but it's something I keep thinking about.
I don't consider myself a collector as such, more of an actual gamer who plays the games I buy, but I'm suprised at how picky I am about box art.
As far as budget re-releases go, it's strange how the UK always have much more ugly, intrusive budget labelling than their US counterparts.
I would quite happily buy a US budget release, because they don't stand out like sore thumbs like the UK ones do.

There's a pattern here. Is there some sort of marketing idea in the UK that making the 'budget' element of the product clearer on the packing helps sell more, where in the US it's designed to be as unintrusive as possible? Am I overthinking this?
