New Translation Website - Help Wanted

Over the next week or so im going to be setting up a web site dedicated to translating video games from Japanese into English. Its going to be for all platforms and genres, blah blah blah. Im thinking of doing it like a cheat site, example, on the main menu press left, down, A, start instead of telling people what menu's to select. Before I can set this sit up though I need your help. If you have any Japanese games that you have translated into English or any that you know have the option for english langue then please email me, pm or post here. Also any suggestions for the site would be great to, I will update everyone once I have set it up. Thanks for reading.

EDIT: Im also thinking of having a section of the site that will say how enjoyable a game is if you don't understand Japanese and it doesn't have the option to change, for example a Beat em Up may rank 8/10 and a text based RPG may get 3/10.

    Nice idea.

I do however think it'd be alot better if you showed the menus though and the appropriate translation instead of just key presses. Other than a long list of key presses being slightly confusing and not very nice to look at, showing the kana etc alongside the english will be somewhat of a learning aid to people interested in learning the language themselves.

    Keep us updated.

Cool idea. There was a site once that did this called jvgfanatic.com. (Japanese Video Game)

It was a cool site but it disappeared unfortunately....

Anyways, as long as it's Katakana or Hirigana, it's fairly easy to translate. It's when the Kanji appears that gets me....

I'll help out where I can. Initial D isn't too bad. The English pull-out helps of course! lol

      Things like Yes/No (Hai/Eei) Save/Load (Se-Bu/Ro-do) are easy enough.

This is a FANTASTIC idea. It's one of those ideas that we've all been in obvious need of for ages, but nobody has ever been arsed to go ahead and do it.

If I were you, I'd go to Gamefaqs (ugh) and search for Japanese-only games and see if anyone's done translations for them. Contact the authors and see if they'd be interested in doing more of them for the site.

I'd have died if it weren't for my Fire Pro Wrestling D translation from Gamefaqs. There's plenty of good translation people over there.

Note that some games like initial D have spinning menus, so you need pictures of the menus.

I have changed my mind now, instread of just saying what buttons to press I am going to put screenshots or basic drawings of the menus on to aid people. If you have translated a Jap game into english please email me or pm me. Thanks.
