3 Most wanted (probable) Virtual console games?

If you feel this is pointless compared to the other thread mods please delete

Instead of wishing for games that may never have a chance of appearing (lots of Rareware stuff?) I thought this thread could be for your 3 most wanted games which will probably appear at some point.

    1. Super metroid - Snes
    2. Yoshi's Island - Snes
    3. Sonic 3 & Knuckles - Megadrive

I'm not sure how they'll do the last one but I think they will, I sure hope so anyway!

    What are your wanted games?

Every single Rare (developed) game that was available to buy, play and enjoy on the N64 but I highly doubt it although seeing Donkey Kong Land for the SNES on the Virtual Console keeps my small hopes up that it will happen one day.

I would ssooo like to replay Resident Evil 2 on the N64 as I never managed to play that on the N64 as well as Paper Mario too as I thought The Thousand-Year Door is one of the top five GameCube games.

The amount of quality software boggles the mind.

I doubt we'll see resi 2 as it was on cube too. but who knows?

Well you see donkey kong himself is owned by Nintendo so they have the right to use it blah blah. Conker, perfect dark etc are a different story. which is a shame as I'd Love to see Conkers bad fur day on there.

Paper mario... I'm hoping they'll let us download it free if we buy "super paper mario" on wii. =D

Any SNES RPG at all would be good right now: it's all I want from the VC!

        1) Earthbound
        2) Super Mario RPG
        3) Chrono Trigger

Wasn't this called Yoshi's Story? Or did they change the title for the PAL release?

Anyway, the top three games I want to see are:

          1) Goldeneye
          2) Donkey Kong 64
          3) Banjo-Kazooie / Banjo-Tooie

Yeah, I know, kind of goes against what you mentioned in the first post, but what the hell. I think they will all make it at some point.

edit: well actually, I wouldn't mind seeing remakes of BK/BT on the 360. BK 3 is coming (soon I hope), so it would be great to see the first two receive a modern makeover.

I'm mainly looking forward to Paper Mario as I flat out refuse to pay £35 for it on eBay. Plus you just know it’s going to look awesome without the 64 fog.

Another gem I missed was Donkey Kong 64 which I heard was a bit on the **** side but meh... it's made by Rare so it can't be that bad.

doubt we'll see resi 2 as it was on cube too. but who knows?
It'll be on there at some point. The cube version was a psx/dreamcast port so the fact it's different should guarantee a release - it’s Capcom remember.

If it's a straight emulation, surely the fog will remain in the VC version?

Well it's possible it's just my memory failing me but Mario Kart 64 doesn't have the same blur I remember. Not 100% sure if I'm right and, if I am, not sure if that's good or bad. I think I'd like them as they were, warts and all. But that's just me.

heh no. I meant Snes by all means.
The N64 one is good fun but lacks much depth and I can finish it in about 20-30 minutes. No joke

                  The snes one however :lub:

I think Yoshi's Island will make it to the VC at some point. It's one of the key SNES titles so I would be surprised to see Nintendo pass it up. It's just a question of when.

Its 99% likely to come up. soon i hope =[

I'd like bubble bobble from the master system and rainbow islands from the master system or megadrive (whichever was better) to appear. heres hoping.

I think Nintendo should make a "arcade" section for games like bubble bobble, space invaders etc.

My two most wanted are slightly improbable in that they are 60Hz/fully optimised versions of Wave Race 64 and PilotWings 64. I thoroughly exhausted the original PAL releases (twice in the case of Wave Race), despite them both being cursed with zero optimisation (huge black borders and fully 16.7% slower) and of course composite (later S-VHS) signal and N64 fuzz. To play these two beauties again, in full screen, full speed, higher res, pixel sharp RGB would be a small dream come true. However, I fear that given the state of the original carts, and what we know about the European VC so far, they may well never get a release.

Other than those two, some titles that I never got around to completing on the SNES/N64 such as Super Metroid, Paper Mario, Body Harvest, Space Station Silicon Valley would be welcome.

Does anyone know how things stand legally with Blast Corps? Is it a Rare property or a Nintendo one?

From what I’ve seen so far the crap draw distances and blurry textures are all but gone.

I’m actually quite looking forward to seeing how Turok looks.

                            Time has not been kind.
