I asked this in another thread but didn't get an answer - is this a completely different Adventure Island game or a souped-up version of one of the Nintendo ones?

I believe it's a slightly different game to the NES ones - but they're all based on Wonderboy anyway, so they're not wildly different.

It isn't port of any previous Adventure Island, but it is mechanically pretty much same as first Adventure Island. No dinosaurs from NES games.

Ah, thanks. I did love those dinosaurs! I think AI 3 was my fave, although my memory is sketchy now. If it's not a port, I may just get this!

I wish they had a DS equivalent of the VC...
