    Donkey Kong Complete!

I had to get DKC for the SNES on my Wii.. It brings back memorys of staying over my friends house when it first got released and we played it endleslly to compelte it.

I remeber it being alot longer and harder back then but I've completed it once again many years on, Its a classic in my eyes one of the best Snes games ever.

Only thing I don't understand is at the end my save says 43% I then fight the 2nd to last boss the big eagle and then on the boat and it completes!
Are them 2 bosses make up the rest of the 57%?

    Strange!

Anway I seem to be playing more VC games than wii games.. lol apart from zelda.
Weird could of got half the games free on my PC for emu but yet on the wii it seems more fun!

Now on Super Mario Bros and Sonic!
Was doing R-Type but find it too hard to get anywhere some reason.

    Cya guys!

I think you should rename the title mate as I thought this was news about a complete version of the original Donkey Kong coming out on VC. Also I think this is in the wrong folder as well isnt it?

Yeah my mistake, I thought the VC area was split into news and first play like the normal games discussion.

          No.

The percentage goes up for each level completed and bonus room(s) found within a level. Once you have found everything in a level it adds a ! to the end of a level name. However if you find everything, the top score is not 100% but actually 101* - at least a think the percentage sign changed in to a star, can't quite remember.

Yes, you're spot on as I recall. I did all 101% back in the few months after it came out. To the original poster, you've got a lot of hard work ahead if you want to get the 101%. Just finishing the story is a doddle comparatively.

This is the first VC game I've regretted buying. Not only has it, in my opinion, aged pretty badly but coming from playing Super Mario World a couple of weeks ago the gameplay is extremely frustrating as when I die it's usually because I can't see the bloody floor or platform or rope or whatever it is I need to get to next. If they'd made the sprites a little smaller more of the playing area would be visible and it would be much more fun to play.

I recall not liking it when it was originally released but couldn't remember why. Now I know.

This is one of my fave games ever. I'm still trying to clock it under and Hour at 101%. I'm down to 1:11 I think.

I love SMW in equal measure.
