Im going to flip this around and say what i wish i HADN'T bought....

    This is going to hurt

In my hometown village of Spondon, Derby there was a small music shop that sold games also. I was desperate for a Playstation and, being a naive schoolboy, got my mum to drive me down with my snes and all my games. All 60+ of them (which i had used hard earned paper round money to buy, natch). Problem is, said titles included Terranigma, Secret of Mana, Illusion of Gaia, Actraiser, Chrono Trigger et al. All gone for a sodding Playstation with Tekken at around £300.

    Proper. ****ing. Gutted. Now.

Incidentally, at work we sell Playstations for a tenner.

Anyway, to stay on topic, i always wished that i'd bought the Panasonic Q that Another World had in their cabinet.

I'v had a few 'Should have bought' moments, but the one that sticks the most is double bad.
I remember being at A toy shop call Beatties in Aberdeen and seeing the brand new copy of Castlevania S.O.T.N. with limited soundtrack for ?20. I decided to hold off to next week. When I went back there was none.
To make matters worse me and a friend were at a carboot sale and he bought a ps1 and a game off a trader. When I asked what game he had got he showed me a pristine copy of castlevania S.O.T.N. with soundtrack. It had a ?10 sticker on it

A lot of people seem to be confessing to SoTN fails here I saw it in a second-hand record shop once and din't buy it because I already had it. I guess there's no easy way to predict what will be worth money in years to come.

But just to rub it in, my copy of SoTN got nicked and I can't afford to replace it now

I regret passing up on the chance to buy a brand new copy of Viewtiful Joe on the PS2 for ?3.49 at my local Woolies. Ironically I already have a copy but even so, it was rude of me not to buy it.

                  Hi guys! Forum newbie here.

I remember like it was yesterday: holding a perfect sealed PAL Panzer Dragoon Saga just when it was released... and not buying it even though I could. 10 years later I'd pay 100 GBP for one (in fact, I know have 2 eheheh). Sigh*

Hmmm and Grandia 2 for Dreamcast. It was a pain hunting down that before eBay.

And Majora's Mask for the N64.

                  Thats about it I think.

                  J.

Racing Gears Advance for £14.99 at the big Gamestation in Birmingham city centre. I actually went to the store twice mulling over whether or not to buy the game because they had 6 or so copies in store, didn't and haven't seen it for sale since.

Less than a year after it's launch sega europe were selling signed copies of shenmue by yu suzuki for ?30. I think they said there were only 100 of them, i got one but they didnt sell fast and were up there for a months. I should have bought more cos i bet they would have gone for decent money. I'd never consider selling mine though.

I remember seeing the rare 1-disc version of Castlevania:SOTN on Huddersfield market for £7 about 6/7 years back. The stall guy wouldn't haggle down to a fiver, and I didn't buy, dumb sap that I am.

I've done this many a time. One time in particular that I remember is sealed Radiant Silvergun's for £20 each. I only bought 2 out of 8 of them, although I did get £5 off.

Namco PS1 sticks for £4, Sega DC sticks for £5, yeah I didn't buy any of them ¬_¬ The big Sega Saturn Megalo 2-player stick for £40 new, never bought that either. The list goes on, I'll stop now though as a single tear has appeared on my face, as I think of brand new Neo carts that I passed up.
