    Just got a Saturn

    Hi,

I just got a PAL Saturn with 6 games (Virtua Fighter 2, Virtual On, Resident Evil, X-men: Children of the Atom, Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 and Marvel Super Heroes (US)) and a import cartridge.

Any recommendations? Games I MUST own, but wich I can afford. I'm only 15, so I can't buy games like Radiant Silvergun and Panzer Dragoon Saga at the ridiculous prices people ask for them.

A friend of mine is on a vacation in Wales right now and said he would look for saturn games there. Anyone know some stores that have Saturn games at low prices around Cardiff?

    Thanks in advance

Can't help with the cardiff connection but if you want a saturn classic which goes for a cheap price look out for Nights into Dreams, I got mine with the analogue controller for 10 squid off ebay

      Cheap and cheerful?

Sega Rally, Panzer Dragoon I & II, Bomberman, Guardian Heroes...erm...invest in an import key. The sooner the better.

PAL must-haves not yet mentioned: Virtua Cop (with gun, natch), Dragon Force, Burning Rangers, Fighters Megamix, Street Fighter Alpha 2, Night Warriors, Dark Savior, Shining The Holy Ark.

I've still got a soft spot for Darius Gaiden, but that might just be the nostalgia talking...

Imports-wise you'll want Silhouette Mirage, Vampire Savior (you'll need the 4MB RAM cart), Dead Or Alive.

Invest in a 6-player adapter (or better yet two) and extra controllers to enjoy Saturn Bomberman properly. If you get Duke Nukem 3D and Exhumed you'll also be able to use the controllers with DeathTank, still the best 'free' extra I've ever played.

some off the tp of my head

Athlete Kings/Winter Heat - still the best winter/summer olympics style games ever in my book

          Discworld 2 - Fun point n click

Sega Rally - possibly the best driving game ever

Layer Section (JAP) - Pretty cheap 2d shooter which is an excellent game, can be had for under ?20

Guardian Heroes - brilliant side scroller with multiple planes

Virtua Cop 1/2 + Gun - excellent gun games, better than the time crisis series imo !!

This is a great thread to look at for Saturn recommendations - we did all this a few months ago.

...took the words right out of my mouth, this game is exactly the reason I got a 50/60hz switch on my saturn.

Layer Section is a must, but for non japanese machines go for the european release which was renamed (god only knows why) Galactic Attack.
