Our magnificent team of Molecules are the creators behind the multi-award winning LittleBigPlanet, LittleBigPlanet 2, Tearaway, Tearaway Unfolded and our most recent title, and BAFTA award winning, Dreams.
New search options:
In addition to the Author search (put @ in front of the search word to search by Author) there are now some more new search methods.
Search for words in Level Title only
To search for words in Level Title only, put a $ in front of the search word . For example, to search for levels with ?Frenzy? in the Level Title type:
$frenzy
Search for exact words
To search for exact words, use single quotes, like this:
?frenzy?
This will search ONLY for the word ?frenzy? in Level Title and Level Description (so no fonzy, friendzy, fencey, frendy, frondy, fwendy, etc, etc).
Search for phrases only
To search by phrase, say, ?The Mighty Tower of Ultimate Doom?, use double quotes, like this:
?The Mighty Tower of Ultimate Doom?
This will search only the Level Title & Level Description for exactly that phrase.
Combine Searches
If that?s not enough for you (whaa?!?) you can even combine searches! What do I mean? Well, say I wanted to search for ?Marks Multi Mega Marvellous Mashing Machine? by ?MarkLovesMashing9988′, I?d type in:
$Mashing @MarkLovesMashing9988
Which will search for all levels with ?Mashing? in the Level Title that also has ?MarkLovesMashing9988′ as the author.
Or I could type:
?Mashing Machine? @MarkLovesMashing
Or.
$Mashing @Mashing
I could go on, but I think you get the idea?
On top of all that, the default search is now less fuzzy. So, what you search for will show less results but be of a higher quality. Basically, it?ll find less but what it finds will be a more exact match to your search word.

News on the next update.
Originally posted by PlayStation BlogCORNISH YARG (aka 1.12 game update)
We don?t yet have a fixed release date for this update, but it has now finished primary development so won?t be too much longer. Additional fixes, particularly for online connection reliability and save game/profile size problems are already well into development and we?ll bring you more news on that just as soon as possible.
This update addresses several outstanding issues with the game:- There is a new music player which lets player?s choose their own music from the XMB to play during create mode and in their Pod
- Improved decoration mode makes it easier to customize your Sackboy
- Option to delete all (unhearted) community objects and photos
- Option to select whether to automatically collect community prizes and photos
- A number of improvements have been made to make profiles more robust and to recover from certain errors
- We now support Japanese and Korean IME for text chat.
- Emitter prediction has been improved (this should help fast-moving projectiles e.g. in MGS levels)
- The player proximity switch now has a ?require all? option in it
- An option has been added to cycle between various level information when viewing community levels on the earth
- Various LittleBigStore improvements
