PAL VC game patches

I hear that Super Castlevania 4, Donkey Kong Country and Super Mario Bros have all got patches available for download now to fix the PAL component cable issues.

What other games are the patches available for? Does this interlacing fix things for those having problems?

I just patched Super mario Bros and it still doesn't work through component on my TV.

Go to VC shop, and to game you have purchased. There is now "update" button, if game has any patches.

Yep, found that after I went in out of curiosity. The borders don't seem quite as horrific as they did when i first played it, but not sure.

Why have they done nothing about Mario Kart 64 not allowing you to save ghosts ? there's a frigging empty 1gb SD card sitting there you stupid console !!!

Very, very stupid oversight - I haven't touched the game because of it (TT'ing each others ghosts has always been a favourite pasttime of my mates & me !!!)

I'm suspecting Nintendo never believed that there would be that many VC game patches, and that led into crude implementation.

Nintendo's online service is no where near the sophistication of Xbox Live and doesn't have the infrastructure to do this. All the channels and content are web-based and even the message board is just a simplified email system. The best they could do is have a message sent to your message board asking you to download the patch.

Even a simple notificiation would be fine by mean, just like when there is new content for Crackdown, it will give you a message telling you to there is new content available. Nintendo should notify us by sending out messages when there is a new update avaiable.

I just downloaded the patch for Super Mario Brothers, and it seems to play much more smoothly than before. The borders are exactly the same size though. It does feel a lot nicer to play than it used to.
