I hope this news it true myself and with luck will mean Unreal Tournament (for me the better than Quake III) will also come to LIVE Arcade

I just wish SEGA grew a brain and ported some onthe DC online games (like AFO, VO II) over to LIVE Arcade

Aren't the gameplay styles of Quake 3 and Quake Wars completely different though? One a fast paced competitve shooter whilst the other has more in common with the tactical team shooters, CS, GRAW etc. At least that's the impression I've had from the glances of Quake Wars I've seen.
UT3 on the other hand is the latest in the franchise so I doubt we'd see UT purely because Epic will want the focus to be on their new title.
Anyway, I'd like a portion of Rocket Arena to go with my Quake 3 pleaseLast edited by Riskbreaker; 11-04-2007, 21:26.

I still have the PC version installed, its been installed on every PC since I bought it and I haven't played the thing for years
Let's face it you only need a mouse for aiming the RailgunThe splash damage on the Rocket launcher meant you aimed at your opponents feet rather than at them. And the shotty and plasma never demanded much accuracy, if you had to resort to anything else you're pretty much fecked anyway

Kinda, UT 2004 did feel different to the original because they had wider terrain and vehicles, but the core gameplay still remained. It just felt as though the way the game had controlled in UT and 2k3 was just placed in larger environments. UT also had fairly large maps itself compared to Q3.Last edited by Riskbreaker; 11-04-2007, 21:51.

I'm not a big fan of fps's, but Quake3 on the Dreamcast was one of my favourite games. I used to play it for hours and hours. Multiplayer rocked!
I haven't played a deathmatch game that I've enjoyed more. The visuals, level design, music, voice-over etc... They're all classic.
If they can get the controls feeling good, and the visuals nice and smooth, I'll download it.
